Here are some photos I took while at the beach on Tuesday. It is near Englewood, FL, just south of Sarasota, on the Gulf Coast. There is no oil damage here yet, but I fear it is sure to come and ruin this great beach.
My big bird friend.
Roped off turtle eggs
Not many people at the beach. My umbrella is to the left.
Relaxing.

We're heading to Sarasota over Fourth of July weekend, to see our old fag hag. She wants to know if we want to hit the beach at all. I'm afraid what we'll find.
Even if there's no oil on the beach yet, is there an oil stench in the air? Are people's eyes burning?
Maybe I'll just leave the beach in my memory where it will remain pristine forever.
How's the Sarasota Film Festival there? Do you go?
No oil smell yet Cubby and haven't been to the Film Festival yet Jeve, but would love to check it out.
My heart breaks for the suffering & loss of wildlife because of the spill. I hope your beautiful spot is spared. You look pretty darned relaxed BTW.
