I want to ask what it's like to live in Florida. Not the weather, but the people there. How open and liberal are they? I ask because I lived there from 1993-98 while my husband was getting his PhD at the University of Florida and although Gainesville and Miami were OK the rest of the state was homophobic and conservative. The laws there aren't gay friendly either - I think it's the only state that doesn't allow gays to adopt. Do you guys feel accepted there?
